Why DPC?

So... why are we the Digital Parent Company?

The Digital Parent Company is a digital business that wants to redefine the workplace and do things differently. Our team of über-talented individuals have honed their skills after years of commuting into desk-bound offices and now it’s time to work smarter.

We love technology and realise that if used in the right way, it enables us to be virtually anywhere, as we don’t want to waste our lives sitting on trains or in cars just to get to a desk where we spend the day phoning and emailing people. We can do that from our own home studios, or hot-desk at the main Guildford studio if cabin-fever sets in.

We could have called ourselves some pseudo-cool name like "Beige Baboon" or "Purple Mandrill", but in the end it seemed a little forced and just wasn't us, so we ended up with a name that really isn't that cool but does define our USP.

So if you’re thinking, wow that sounds like a great place to work, I wish I worked with people like that, it is, and you’re not alone in thinking that. Which is why we can choose from only the very best and have clients that love working with us.

Our ethos

We are a new breed of production house/agency: flexibility is king and presenteeism is well and truly absent.

We embrace a forward thinking ethos for both our clients and for our staff. Our staff can work from our own head office as well as their home studios and can be full or part-time. This means we can choose only the very best individuals, which means our clients get only the very best quality and service.

Our team

We have a wonderful head office and studio in Guildford, next to a cracking Thai restaurant (handy when clients visit), however the majority of our workforce operates in their own home-based studios, using their own kit, software and tea and coffee making facilities.

Our team is made up of highly experienced individuals who are absolute experts in their chosen fields. We have Information architects, designers, artworkers, developers (.NET and PHP), creative thinkers, print experts, MS Office experts and video editors/DVD programmers... the list is endless but every one of our team has made the decision to have a work/life balance, yet still continue to do what they love. It's a formidable combination!
