Content management systems
It’s a well known phrase but one that stands - 'Content is king'.
Without fresh, relevant content being uploaded to the site on a regular basis, there is no reason for anyone to return. In the "old days" of the internet, this presented a problem; it involved the client having to continuously return to the site developer to implement even the smallest content change.
These days we rarely produce any sites without a Content Management System (CMS) in place. Rather than “putting all of our eggs in one basket” we use a number of .NET and PHP CMS products. We will work with you to determine which one is the best for you, your needs, your budget, and your existing technical infrastructure.
All of the CMS that we use can be customised to do whatever you would like it to do (other than make tea). In essence, it can provide you with the ability to create new sections and pages within your site, update all images, text and streaming content on the site if required.
The most important point to note, is that you do not need to have any technical knowledge of HTML or web based programming to be able to use the systems. It is browser driven and password protected, and the only technical skill you need is the ability to use a word processing package such as Microsoft Word.
